George,

I'm the guy who had to leave class in a hurry today because someone was moving into one of my listings. Got that handled and turned around.

I needed to ask you a question so I hope you can answer it for me.

Do you have a good source for tracking down HOA's? I just had a closing delayed because all our research indicated no HOA and the title company surfaced one. Which reminds me.. they have not returned my call.

Anyway, any suggestions?

Message answered by John V w Select Management:

Each City website usually will have a list on all the HOA’s within their City and will have a link to each of the management companies. I know that City of Frisco and Plano have these HOA directories for sure. I’m not for certain about the other Cities but trust that they most likely have similar directories that you can reference. The City of Frisco is a good one to look at; go to their main website and type in HOA or Director and it should come up.

The only other site I can think of off the top of my head is www.caionline.org. This is a national site that represents the property management industry and all HOA related items.

Also check with the different title companies...They each have a compiled list of HOA and contact info.

If the title company you were working with can't find out how to contact them.. then maybe you need a new title company.

My 3rd suggestion.. look up that HOA's website. You will usually get the contact info of the officers. Call/email them and they will know who services the HOA.
